How to Easily Edit PDF Files

Most people prefer to use online editors for their PDF files. My favorite is PDFHammer and PDFescape. You visit their websites and upload your file to them. They then allow you to make your desired corrections and give you your new updated version of the PDF to download and save. Some people do not like this method since a copy of their document has to be upload to the host sever and fear there is a security risk.

There are some freeware programs out there to edit your PDF files. Most of them aren't very good or have limitations which can really get in the way. Do you research if you decided to go this route and find the best possible freeware program.

I highly recommend buying software if you edit PDF files on a regular basis. There is no uploading your private documents to the entire world or restrictions. I recommend Adobe Acrobat and InFix.

To edit PDF files first open Adobe Acrobat, then from the File menu select Open. When the Open is up, browse to the document you wish to edit and double-click to select it. Also you may single click then select the Open button.

To add or remove pages, in PDF format, Select the Document menu then choose the appropriate action; Insert, Extract, Replace, or Delete. This affords a page by page edit of the document.

Editing within pages requires a different menu altogether. Select the Tools menu and highlight the Advanced Editing option. Under this option there are many self-explantory choices.
4 Use the TouchUp Text tool to edit blocks of text. Or the Movie or Sound tools to embed multimedia.

Complete the necessary editing, proofread your changes, then select the File menu and choose Save As. Name your document something that indicates it is a newer, different version than the one you started with and choose the Save button.

How to Edit PDF Document

Begin by going to the Nitro PDF Professional website and downloading the Nitro PDF Professional software. (Follow the link in Resources.) After you've downloaded the program, follow the instructions to install it. Once you've finished, open Nitro PDF.

Click on the "Open" icon at the top of the program (the folder that is half-open). Search for and open the PDF that you wish to edit.

Click the "Insert and Edit" tab at the top of the program. Once you've done this, select the "Insert" option found in the "text" box. This option will have a large "Ti" icon above it.

Scroll down through your PDF and select any text you wish to edit. You can also delete text or add text to any portion of the document. To edit the text, right-click on the portion you wish to edit. In the drop-down box, select "Edit Text." Then simply edit your text as you would in any word-processing program.

Use the other boxes at the top of the screen to add charts, pictures and other items to your PDF if you choose to do so. For the most part you will probably only want to edit the text of a PDF. However, Nitro PDF does give you the option to make other additions as well.

Save the document as you would any word-processing document (hit Control + "S" or click the "Save" icon at the top of the program) and you will be finished.
