How to use USB Drive as RAM in xp

Hey guys every one knows that in vista and windows 7 there is option ready boost to use USB drive as ram. But got some tricks to use that in Xp.
Ok lest go...

1. Format the USB Flash Drive

2.Insert the USB flash drive directly into USB port in your computer.

3. go to "My Computer" and locate the drive. Take note of the name of the drive (for example, "E:" or "F:").

4. right-click on the drive icon. In the menu that appears, select "Format."

5. In the new dialog window, make sure there is no check mark in the box "Quick Format." Click "Start." At the confirmation window, click "OK."

6. Wait for the format to complete. Depending on the size of the drive, this may take several minutes.

7. Go to the Desktop. Right-click "My Computer." In the menu that appears, select "Properties." Click the "Advanced" tab.

8. Look in the dialog windows for the title "Performance." Click the button that says "Settings." Click the "Advanced" tab.

9. Look under "Virtual Memory" and click the "Change" button.

10. Look in the small window "Drive [Volume Label]." Click the drive letter for your flash drive.

11. Click "Custom size" and type in the minimum paging file amount in the "Initial size (MB)" window. (Convert gigabytes to megabytes for the number.)

12. Type in the maximum size you want to allocate in the "Maximum size (MB)" window, depending on the size of your flash drive. (Again, convert gigabytes to megabytes for the number.)

13. Go back to the "Drive [Volume Label]" window. Select the "C:" drive. Click the radio button "no paging file" and click "Set." At the confirmation window, click "Yes."

14. Click "OK," "OK," and "OK" to save your changes and exit the program. When Windows asks you to reboot your computer, click "Yes."

1). Start any application, say Word. Open some large documents.

2). Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open Windows Task Manager and click Processes tab and sort the list in descending order on Mem Usage. You will notice that WINWORD.EXE will be somewhere at the top, using multiple MBs of memory.

3). Now switch to Word and simply minimize it. (Don't use the Minimize All Windows option of the task bar).

4). Now go back to the Windows Task Manager and see where WINWORD.EXE is listed. Most probably you will not find it at the top. You will typically have to scroll to the bottom of the list to find Word. Now check out the amount of RAM it is using. Surprised? The memory utilization has reduced by a huge amount

5). Minimize each application that you are currently not working on by clicking on the Minimize button & you can increase the amount of available RAM by a substantial margin. Depending upon the number and type of applications you use together, the difference can be as much as 50 percent of extra RAM.

In any multitasking system, minimizing an application means that it won't be utilized by the user right now. Therefore, the OS automatically makes the application use virtual memory & keeps bare minimum amounts of the code in physical RAM.

Speed up ur windows

To speed up your windows
or
to increase RAM virtually,
Right click on My Computer
>> Properties
>> Advanced
>> Performance - Settings
>> Advanced
>> Virtual Memory - Change
Keep the initial size same as
recommended and maximum
size double of it then restart your
system.
It will improve speed of windows
and you can play some games
which require higher RAM.
2. When a window is active,
press the F11 key of the
keyboard to get the biggest
window possible and press F11
again to restore it.

Aight so u wanna know how to turn the pc on in 10 seconds (may vary)Aight heres what u have to do to turn ur pc on in 10 seconds.

Aite Click on the start button then press R it will take u to Run well go to run
n type Regedit
press enter
this will open Registery Editor
now look for the key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex

now there find the Key Called
"Startup Delay"
Double Click On It
Now where its Base
Click Decimal
Now its Default Value Is 4800000 (75300:hexadecimal)
Change The Value To 40000
here u go u have done it
now close the Registery Editor
and Restart Your Computer
You'll See The Result

Slow Shutdown Lets Make it Fast

Some people have noticed that they are experiencing a really slow shutdown after installing Windows XP Home or Professional. Although this can be caused a number of ways, the most clear cut one so far is happening on systems with an NVidia card installed with the latest set of drivers. A service called NVIDIA Driver Helper Service is loading up on start up and for whatever reason doesn't shut itself down properly. The service isn't needed and can also increase the amount of memory available to your system. Here is how to disable it.

1: Go into your Control Panel
2: Select Administrative Tools and then click on Services
3: Right click on the file "NVIDIA Driver Helper Service" and then select STOP.
4: To stop this loading up every time you boot up your PC Right click it again and select properties - then where the option "Startup Type" is shown - make sure it is set at Manual like
