Thankfully, there is a solution. Simply follow this simple step by step guide.

Step 1: First, Log in to the account that you wish to delete permanently.

Step 2: Visit the Facebook Delete Account page, which they manage to hide very well.

Step 3: Press Submit to confirm deletion, and follow the instructions on screen.

Rather than being deactivated forever, and returned whenever you attempt to log in, this method deactivates your account for just 20 days. In order for the deletion to become permanent you must not use your Facebook account in any way within that 20 days, if you do the Facebook account deletion will be cancelled and you will have to begin the entire process again.

How Do You Delete Your Facebook Account?

You must avoid touching anything Facebook at all for the entire 20 day period. Many will struggle with this, but here are a few tips to help you out:

  • Tip 1: Do not press a Facebook 'Like' button on any third party websites.
  • Tip 2: This includes logging in to Facebook clients such as iPhone or BlackBerry applications, make sure that you log out of these before deleting your account.

If your account hasn't deleted after 20 days then something has gone wrong, and it will be something which you have done. Logging in to Facebook in order to check whether it has been deleted on the 19th day is the dumbest mistake that many of you will undoubtedly make.
